Lightning Fast and Highly Aggressive: Introducing the Destroyer Class

Missed the amazing Alpha Challenge? Dying to get some news on Kartuga? Well, then you’re in for a treat: Today we published our introduction video for the amazing Destroyer Class:

This lightning fast aggressor is the game’s offensive all-purpose weapon. Of Kartuga’s three classes, the Destroyer is supremely fast and maneuverable – downright mean, if you combine that with its ability to lash out damage! “So, he’s overpowered then?” you might ask. No, of course not! As a Destroyer, you have chosen a dangerous life – only a couple of hits, and down you go to the bottom of the ocean, never to return!

So be careful. A ship as fast and nimble as the Destroyer practically begs for swift, high-speed attacks and risky maneuvers, which are more on the evasive side of things…But to spice it up a bit, you can explore various play styles with the Destroyer. As you might know, over the course of the game your ship levels up and you unlock primary and secondary abilities on a skill tree branching out in three directions.  In the case of the Destroyer, these are called Raider, Ravager and Brawler. While the Ravager build excels in long-range battles, the Raider’s fighting style can best be described as hit-and-run, as this skill’s mobility is absolutely maxed out. In contrast, the Brawler, with its ultra-thick armor and decisive attacks, is the scrappiest of the three. It can be described as some kind of all-a-rounder – at least from a Destroyer perspective. It’s still powerful and maneuverable, but not as much as the other builds. In exchange for movement, it’s equipped with a little more tolerance for pain.

Of course, you can also freely combine among the three builds. Just find your own style of play as you go along. And we hope you don’t have to wait much longer until it happens! Right now we aim at going into closed beta at the beginning of 2013. Until then, we will introduce the two missing classes and tell you a little more about the features and game mechanics of Kartuga. So, pre-register quickly and stay tuned!

  4. What are the requirements? Is it like forge of empires (which innogames also owns) that doesn’t not need much of downloads? Coz we really want to spend time playing this in our office

    • Hey Geelikego, the only thing you need is the unity plugin. You just have to download it once, after that you can play without any downloads!
