All hands on deck: New information on interface, equipment, and inventory of Kartuga

Today, new information about the highly anticipated pirate game Kartuga was published: For the first time, we can have a look at the entire interface of the game. And there’s some very interesting stuff to see: The Inventory of equippable items and crew members as well as the skill and experience bar at the bottom of the screen. Next to it are the slots for consumables you can use during battle, such as Repair kits that refill your energy, or short-term buffs.

You can also see some more of the inventory: There you equip crew members – these have different effects on the properties of your ship. Officers, carpenters, gunners: a whole range of professions is to be filled there. There are quite a few different slots where you can assign equipment and items. As usual in role-playing games, you can check out the stats of the item in the item description with a quick mouse-over. There you also see whether it is worthwhile to equip the item. In the screenshot you see a certain type of ammunition that can cause additional damage.

Particularly interesting is the small slot directly below the 3D view of your ship. There you can use different layouts of ships – The ship types that are available to you can be found in the “dock” tab again.
I hope you are as excited as I for Kartuga to start – only a few weeks to go!

  1. I keep getting these emails, which is fine…but will anyone get a beta key?? I’ve very excited for this game, and been on the beta list for a very long time, and been supporting and following development for a long time, still no luck with ever playing, yet i see beta videos on youtube all the time. I’m quite shocked i have not received my beta key yet!! Please start giving them out to the masses, i really want to play, about to give up on this game and start another game!

  2. Ahoj

  3. Will the items for the ship be purchasable with real cash or just with ingame earned cash?

If with real cash, how big will the advantages of real cash items be in contrast to the items not purchased through real cash? Or will it be like: “I bought my ship’s cannons with real money, so I will win against everyone who don’t!”?

    greetings
    Hans

  4. I’m registered from juny(think was in first 100) :) I really hope will can play this amazing game…it’s the most expected game which I ever want to play! can’t belive there are only few weeks till release!!! :D

  5. To the very moment we´ve only difuse statements about when the keys will be distributed! Can´t Inno be a little more exact ?`Like: You´ll get the key, if you get one, till the end of February/ beginning of March ?
And can we post in our “home – languages”, or have we to post in english ?

  6. Ahoj
    Pozdrawiam

  7. if i get beta key i will sing this all day long
Do what you want, ‘cause a pirate is free,
    YOU ARE A PIRATE!
    Yar har, fiddle di dee,
Being a pirate is alright to be,
Do what you want ‘cause a pirate is free,
    You are a pirate!

    (spoken)You are a pirate!
    (crowd)Yay!

    We’ve got us a map, (a map!)
To lead us to a hidden box,
That’s all locked up with locks! (with locks!)
    And buried deep away!

We’ll dig up the box, (the box!)
We know it’s full of precious booty!
    Burst open the locks!
    And then we’ll say hooray!

(girl’s voice)Yar, har, fiddle di dee.
If you love to sail the sea,
    You are a pirate!

    (spoken)Weigh anchooor!

    Yar har, fiddle di dee,
Being a pirate is alright to be!
Do what you want ‘‘cause a pirate is free,
    You are a pirate!
    Arr yarr, ahoy and avast,
    dinky-dink-dink-a-dinkadefast!
    Hang the black flag
At the end of the mast!
    You are a pirate!

    Hahaha! (Yay!)

    We’re sailing away (set sail!),
    Adventure awaits on every shore!
We set sail and explore (ya-har!)
And run and jump all day (Yay!)
We float on our boat (the boat!)
Until its time to drop the anchor,
Then hang up our coats (aye-aye!)
    Until we sail again!

(girl’s voice)Yar, har, fiddle di dee.
If you love to sail the sea,
    You are a pirate!

    Laaaand ho!

    Yar har, fiddle di dee,
Being a pirate is alright with me!
Do what you want ‘cause a pirate is free,
    You are a pirate!

(spoken)Yar har, wind at your back, lads,
    Wherever you go!

(singing)Blue sky above and blue ocean below,
    You are a pirate!

    (spoken)Hahahahaa!
