Holiday season is the time of year where you allow yourself to get a little rest – but if you think, we at InnoGames spend our winter holidays with nothing but sleeping and gaming, you’re dead wrong! Check out this brand new Graphic from the Kartuga-Team!
Following last weeks Destroyer Announcement, this week we’ll present the Engineer Class to you. She is quite the handful – In order to find her place in the intense and dangerous world of Kartuga, she developed numerous ways to support Comrades and Deal with her foes. Therefore, she can quickly turn the tides of battle, utilizing her impressive arsenal –tools like Repair Crates, Buoys and her secret Weapon, Flying Drones that can actually, depending on the situation, attack enemies or heal teammates. Insanely useful, right? You can check out those tools in action in the Video Introduction below:
Her amazing weaponry make the Engineer the perfect supporting class for each team – but as said, she’s also very versatile in her use of tools – This lady and can definitely hold her own against foes! Like the other classes, the Engineer has a skill tree, on which you as a a player unlock passive and active abilities while leveling up. This Skill tree has three branches, which you can freely combine. With the Engineer, those Specializations are called Buoy Master, Atlanticus and Tinker. The Buoy Master, who would have thought, specializes in the use of buoys to control the flow of the battlefield, supporting teammates and attacking at the same time. The Tinker is an expert at weakening enemies and debuffing their skills. The Atlanticus build is the ideal choice if you want to repair allies and control enemy crowds. Of course, the most fun will be to find your unique combination from those builds and their abilities. In general, one could say that the Engineer is the choice for those who like a more playful and creative style of playing – And your friends will always appreciate having an engineer around.
Soon, we will introduce the third and, at least for the foreseeable future, final class of Kartuga. And our team is still working hard on the upcoming Closed Beta. Exciting things are happening – Are you looking forward to it as well? Don’t forget to pre-register at www.kartuga.com
Our graphic artists have been extremely productive recently. They have created some great artwork which perfectly shows off the style of the game. There is actually a lot to discuss about this topic, because in Kartuga there are three regions, each with an individual look. They are called Ithosian, Imperial und Kartugian. Today, we proudly release the first two pieces of art which show the Ithosian and Kartugian regions.
As you read in my previous blog, my last Kartuga experience was quite bitter. Here is the continuation of our office battle and my attempt to take revenge on Fabio.
The countdown has begun. There are only a few seconds until I can engage in the battle. Of course now self-doubt is plaguing me – How can it be that I was the first to sink? What went wrong? The answer should be obvious. I played in the truest sense of the word unskilled. Continue reading →

Pheew…gamescom week is over, and assuming from the amounts of people running around, half of cologne was there…and of course everybody from the games industry. For us, it was especially exciting: First of all, as you might have read in my colleague’s Sarah’s Blog post, InnoGames was all over the place, with several booths, speakers and so on. Last week, I and four of my colleagues took on the long travel from our Hamburg headquarters to the sunny state of California – But not to dwell on the magnificent beaches of the pacific coast, but to visit the mecca for every game enthusiast: The Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3, in Los Angeles. Of course we didn’t go there empty-handed, but we had something very special in our heavy bags: Kartuga, a pirate-themed live-action MMO with lots of PvP and some RPG-aspects, developed by our colleagues from Ticking Bomb Games. We chose the E3 to announce the game, and it was the first time we presented it to people outside of our offices, which was pretty exciting for all of us…But I’m getting ahead of myself. Let’s start at the beginning: Continue reading →
